EXPERMENT 2-SELF PORTRAIT-LENZ BASED

..EXPERIMENTATION..
..LENZ BASED..
  • Black and white (WB)
  • Black Lavalava covering the light
  • Taken in my bedroom
  • Poster flag of Tupac in the background
  • All photos based on upper body
  • Change of clothes and wearing no shirt

In this photo I tried making the room dark but it didn't work well.

In this photo I tried putting in some light even though it's still in black and white balance.

In this photo I tried representing my tattoo as a sign of hope.

This photo is based in the centre with folded hands behind my back.

This photo is one of my favourites because even though I'm looking above I still placed myself looking at Tupac, his name and the words "His music lives on" and it also shows my west side tattoo even though it represents western samoa it could be used as a sign for west side.

This photo is also one of my favourites because of the facials, shirt, necklace and pose with the hat (I also haven't worn one in a long time) makes me look more of the hip hop/gangster scene.

This photo was a try out when Tupac looked to his right side.

My last favourite photo where I tried to have the camera looking up at my upper body with no shirt but I still need to have more tattoos as well.

..DANNY CLINCH INFO.. (LENZ BASED)

DANNY CLINCH

Danny Clinch has captured some of music's most iconic moments, from downtime with the Beastie Boys when they were just a bunch of kids, to cataloguing Bruce Springsteen's never-ending ride. His new photobook, Still Moving, pulls together these stories - and a whole lot more. Huck caught up with Clinch back in the summer, while he was elbow-deep in picture editing. LAID BARE

“There’s a session that everybody always asks me about with Tupac Shakur in 1993. I shot a lot of hip hop back in the day and there was always a really big entourage if you were doing an album packaging or editorial. It was always a lot of people – way more than necessary.
“Then I got the assignment from Rolling Stone to shoot Tupac. And I was excited about it, really excited about getting a Rolling Stone shoot. Even though they told me the photo was only going to run over a quarter-page, I was envisioning a Rolling Stone cover. At the time, I was not only doing really loose, documentary-style photography I had also taken this old 4×5 camera, which is a very slow portrait-style camera. So I decided to really concentrate on that.
“So Tupac shows up – with just one guy. And he was really excited about being photographed. He was really professional. He showed up on time, ready to go, and had bought a couple of different shirts and a Thug Life jacket. We got started shooting a few photographs. He was really intrigued by this big old-view camera where you put the hood over your head and you get in there. It’s a slow process. He was super photogenic and the camera loved him.
“At one point he said, ‘Let me change it up,’ and he took his shirt off and you could see all his tattoos – the Thug Life tattoo and the scars on his chest. I don’t think I would have ever asked him to take off his shirt. Collaboration can be a small part of a session, but it can really make a big difference, and he was really into it. So we started to shoot with the shirt off, which for me, became the epic photo. They ran the photo as a quarter-page. Then three years later, he’s killed and that photo wound up on the cover of Rolling Stone.”

SELF PORTRAIT SURFACE RESEARCH LENZ BASED

-Tupac showing his back could mean that rebelling against someone or something.

-Tupac showing his face, upper body and facials could represent uniqueness.

-Tupac in black and white with bandanna and a leadership facial could be saying he is unique and there is no one like him.

-Tupac showing upper body with hands folded behind him and looking to right side could show he's representing someone or something.

-Tupac looking down with bandanna also shows or represents sadness.

Tupac in a 2 in 1 picture both black and white one looking straight and the other with a bandanna looking down represents a really strong quote "If you don't know me then don't judge me" or "Only GOD can judge me".

Tupac in black and white with arms folded behind him showing upper body and facials with less shading could also represent uniqueness.

STEVE LOVETT-BUILDING IMAGEZ

What I see in this picture is "THE FUTURE INSPIRATION FOR BOTH MAORI AND POLYNESIAN YOUTHS" who are in need of an inspiration to show them a path of hope for them and those who will also walk the same path after them.

I like this picture of the male here that has no eyes or mouth because to me it sort of symbolises to me that there are people in the world that cant see properly, has one eye, or just blind or cant even talk properly as well as those who are deaf and those who can either choose to mock them or choose to either communicate  or stare rudely.

In this weird picture of the 5 different coloured dogs, an object on fire, a man with a black mask and the man in the background taking a picture actually makes me me think of what goes on around the world today with those who choose to stay innocent and those who decide to run with those who claim to be innocent of their actions.
